The National Chamber of Specialized Experts (CNES) is a French union that brings together highly qualified people in the art world, in various sectors and periods. 

Its mission is to represent the entire field of expertise to the public authorities and the Ministry of Culture and to provide its interlocutors with a guarantee through the expertise missions it fulfills.

Compagnie Nationale des Experts (CNE)

Founded in 1971, the CNE (National Company of Experts) gathers more than 190 experts specialized in works of art in very precise fields such as antiques, paintings, books, curiosities and objects of art of all periods.

Chambre Nationale des Experts en Joaillerie-Bijouterie-Pierres précieuses (CNEJPP)

The National Chamber of Experts in Jewellery and Precious Stones aims to bring together, after checking their knowledge, specialized and independent appraisers.

Confédération Européenne Des Experts d'Art (CEDEA)

Founded in 1988, the CEDEA (European Confederation of Art Experts) gathers today more than 480 appraisers, at the service of the private individuals, the professionals of art, and the customs and legal authorities. It is in charge of defending the profession, whose title is neither recognized nor protected, and to reinforce its representativeness.

Gem-A : The Gemmological Association of Great Britain

Gem-A is one of the most sought-after organizations for the valuation of diamonds, pearls and colored stones, its world-renowned teaching, as well as for the manufacture and sale of gemological instruments.

GemNantes : Centre de Recherches Gemmologiques

The CRG (Gemological Research Center) is an association domiciled at the University of Nantes. It brings together gemologists on the methods of investigation of gems.

Institut National de Gemmologie (ING)

The ING (National Institute of Gemmology) is the school of reference for access to the professions of gemmology, which is the science devoted to the study, identification and knowledge of gems (precious stones and fine stones).

Commission de Conciliation et d'Expertise Douanière (CCED)

The CCED (Customs Conciliation and Expertise Commission) is a structure created within the customs administration, it allows the users of the customs administration to exercise rights of appeal in case of a dispute concerning the declaration of goods (value, origin, etc.). It is made up of a magistrate and representatives from the private sector as well as certain international trade administrations.
